BODYWORK >> Rebuilding, re-energizing and recovery is a crucial part to optimal health. At DIAKADI our trainers and practitioners will assist in bodywork by performing detailed assessments including testing for functional and structural imbalances, postural deviations, muscle strength, flexibility, and coordination. Then based on this assessment, as well as your goals and health history, your trainer will steer you in the direction with stretches, mobilizations and exercises.
Other bodywork and healing traditions include structural integration, myofascial release, cranial-sacral therapy, source point therapy and visceral manipulation. Our practitioners believe in treating each patient with a comprehensive strategy that may include postural and/or movement assessments, deep tissue massage, gentle joint mobilization, stretching and physical education.
NEURO-MUSCULAR PRACTITIONERS >> Proprioceptive – Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR) is a new form of therapy that addresses musculoskeletal problems (injuries, lingering pain, etc.) by focusing on our body’s receptor system. Sensory receptors throughout our bodies provide our brains with the information they need to move our muscles. Those receptors can send incorrect information to our brains as a result of an injury, surgery, and other stresses, resulting in pain and/or difficulty with movement. There are currently only fourteen trainers nationwide that are trained in P-DTR, and four of them are at DIAKADI.
P-DTR uses a comprehensive system of muscle testing and neural challenges to locate “faulty” receptors and restore normal function, rapidly and effectively resetting our receptors so our body can function at its best. In a typical session, a trainer trained in P-DTR will look at movement patterns, imbalances, pain and dysfunction and work with clients to treat those.
HOLISTIC LIFE COACHING>> (HLC) is a multi-disciplinary system that seeks to improve your overall health & fitness by acknowledging how all parts of your life; body, mind, emotions, and spirit, work together to improve your vitality & performance!
Using HLC tools, assessments, and questionnaires you will customize a health & fitness plan to address your greatest physiological needs. Using one-on-one or group coaching models, you will focus your mental energy towards creating sustainable, lifestyle changes through; proper eating & hydration habits, appropriate types of exercise & rest, breaking through limiting beliefs, motivation, and accountability.
Your coach is not only a skillful trainer, they provide you with the keys for ongoing success, support, and creating a sustainable lifestyle transformation.
PILATES >> Study the method of Pilates with one of our DIAKADI instructors. Pilates instruction will focus on the following principles: proper alignment, centering, concentration, control, precision, breathing, and flowing movement. Beginner to advance level instruction is offered. Sessions consist of mat work and the use of a Reformer, Wunda chair, and Pilates circles.
YOGA >> We provide one-on-one, duo and group sessions with instructors that allow clients to focus on self-awareness, physical movement, breathing and meditation. Styles of sessions vary from Hatha and Power Flow to Ansuara and Iyengar to Ashtanga Vinayasa and Thai Massage Yoga. Session lengths and pricing plans will be devloped based upon your goals.
NUTRITION + FUEL >> Exercise and movement is a small part of healthy living and we want to help clients from all aspects. That is why we have a group of DIAKADI Trainers that also address nutritional needs. With their nutritional degrees and holistic coaching certifications, our trainers will assist you in your goal of eating right.
