You know what we think is kick ass? When two local small business can use their own momentum to inspire, motivate, and build community. That’s the purpose behind DIAKADI Gallery. Having a local artist whose work brings inspiration, positivity, and style into the facility is meant to breathe motivation and provoke emotion and thought into our clients and trainers.

This trade experience allows DIAKADI to expand its community building outside the fitness industry and continue to be an industry role model in all of it’s business practices. Artists enjoy having their work seen and DIAKADI takes pride in displaying local artwork all throughout the gym.

This installment of DIAKADI Gallery features the graffiti inspired works of local San Francisco artist Nate Tan. From the minute we started communication with Nate he has been sweet, reliable and super humble. You would hardly guess that this guy is a master graffiti artist and well known among the graffiti community as a pioneer of the West Coast graffiti art scene. During Nates 20+ years in the scene he’s been featured in magazines, S.F. murals, a documentary, a book, and multiple galleries.

Nate now teaches graffiti art classes and workshops at 1am Gallery in Soma of S.F. His latest IMG_4255entrepreneurial venture has been his clothing line New Skool. It was originally designed for children and infants but Nate has begun to expand into adult clothing as well (we know, he brought us shirts!!). Nate’s work to create positivity within a scene that has previously held a negative connotation makes him a shining star in the community. He is definitely an artist to watch for. Check out all his art, clothing and more!
