Since 2001, Analisa Naldi has been coaching on how to move safely, efficiently and with strength. Her students include an array of competitive and recreational athletes, ranging in age and experience from youth, high school and collegiate, to fast-paced executives and weekend warriors. Analisa brings a background that includes strength training, sport specific training, Kettlebell instruction (Strong First Certified), Olympic Weightlifting, youth program design/physical education, Balanced Body Pilates Reformer, and Vinyasa/Forrest Yoga.

Below, Analisa gave us a quick glimpse into her fitness history, her training style and even some of her favorite tunes to kick ass to.

1. What is your favorite type of exercise?

Single exercise? Get-Up or Kettle-bell Swing. Anything with a Kettle-bell or in the water.

2. What exercise clothing brand do you love to rock?

Been a Lululemon girl since the company started. Athleta, Lululemon and minimal shoes when I have to wear 'em.

3. Where are you from? What made you move to San Francisco?

Born on an almond ranch in Central CA.  Moved to Bay Area to play hoops in college, fell in love with the city, and been fortunate to have been here ever since.

5. What is your favorite workout song?Analisa Power Lifting Jan 22 2014 129

Tough one...Lose Yourself (Eminem), Raise Your Glass (Pink), and DJ Earworm Mash-Ups (blendin' it all together) usually hit the spot.

6. In a paragraph or two, what is your philosophy on training?

Move better to feel better. I focus my energy on educating my students on healthy, sustainable ways for them to move better and fuel specifically to fit their lifestyle. I choose to lead by example. I teach realistic goal setting and implementation, a consistent practice in higher quality movement and strength, and encourage a culture of healthy living everyday. This enables my students to fully engage in their progress, get educated, and empowered.

7. If you were a color what color would you be and why?

Bright PINK because it's sassy, can be sunrise (beginning) or sunset (closing) and lends itself to a blend of spunk and energy.

8. What has been your biggest hurdle/challenge in life when it comes to training?

Resting. When you live in fortunate chaos and love what you do it is important to remember to take time to rest, both physically and psychologically. I often get caught up in the whirlwind of my students, my teaching and work diligently to take time to chill out (on a board in the water or sunshine somewhere). Thank you to Mr. Gym Jones for reminding me to "...not to do the work if you don't have the balls to do the rest."

9. What is your favorite winter and summer sport?

Any season in the water - Wakeboarding, Stand-up paddleboarding, Surfing.

10. Tell us about your favorite cuisine and favorite place to get it in the city?

Favorite cuisine? When I get to cook. Favorite restaurant in the city? Starbelly.

11. What is your favorite piece of exercise equipment at DIAKADI?

The floor and a wall, or a ViPR (if I need to pick one).

12. What is your favorite vacation spot? Where would you like to go that you have not been yet?

Favorite Vaca spot? Anywhere with sunshine and beach. Next on the list? Australia and New Zealand.
