The Alexander Technique is movement education method developed over a hundred years ago by F.M. Alexander, an Australian actor. Since its inception, the Alexander Technique has been widely known among actors, dancers and musicians as a discipline to enhance both performance quality and the health and well-being of the performer.

In the last few decades Alexander teachers have advanced the profession by applying the Technique specifically to internal martial arts, running, swimming and working out.
