I hope that your week is going well. Last night was the first night with the CPAP machine, and I got some sleep. I woke up a couple of times, but when I got up I felt rested. My friend Alan came over and we went for a 20 minute walk. I kept pretty busy today. I had to run errands and attend a meeting at the synagogue. I felt pretty good all day. I have been sharing my experiences so far on my new journey with friends. I've got a lot of support, which I am grateful for. I walked up a hill today and I was not as out of breath as before. That felt good. Tomorrow I am seeing a very good friend who has really been there for me. I am glad I will get the chance to talk to him about the changes I am making in my life today. Thank you for reading my email. I had a tough time getting out of bed this morning. In fact, I took the CPAP mask off and stayed in bed until the latest possible moment before seeing the sleep doctor this afternoon. This was the first day I did not eat breakfast since I started. I noticed the difference not having it. I did eat something, (tangerine and a lite string cheese) but did not eat again until 6PM. My friend Chris took me to the grocery store. He does the shopping for his household, and it gives us an opportunity to talk while we get stocked up for the week. When I came home I felt exhausted. That was around the same time we spoke over the telephone. I am planning to write about the opportunity you've presented to me over the weekend. I realize that for today I did not meet up with my own expectation. I did not do the best today. Chalk it up to bad planning and make it a learning experience.
