Bill is a personal trainer and therapeutic massage practitioner with a passion for bodywork and healthy living. He has been active in fitness for the last 30 years and learned the hard way how working out without proper guidance can result in injuries; an injury in his early twenties left him in chronic pain. Over the next twenty years, living a healthy lifestyle, receiving skilled bodywork, and adhering to a regular self care fitness program ‘cured’ what ‘modern’ medicine could not. Today Bill lives an active life without pain.
After personally experiencing their power, Bill decided to devote his career to fitness, bodywork, and self care. He is certified in a variety of fitness approaches and diverse bodyworking techniques.This gives him a unique skill-set with many different tools for his work.
Bill’s private practice comes from many years of training combined with his own personal journey from injury, through chronic pain, and into healing. It is not surprising that his passion is working with people with injuries, chronic pain and/or discomforts, and postural issues. They all result in a certain degree of imbalance of the body, which can present as improper usage of muscles, restricted range of motion, tight muscles, spasms. Bill helps them to regain proper posture and structural and muscular balance. Each client gets a uniquely personalized program, which includes exercising and raising awareness about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and balanced nutrition.
Rather than spot-treating symptoms alone, Bill’s holistic approach looks at a person as a whole and seeks to restore a person’s optimal health and well-being. Before assembling an exercise program, he conducts a comprehensive postural and movement assessment for each client. Exercise program is then based on client’s health, physical capabilities, expectations, and goals. In general, it contains cardiovascular and endurance training, core and muscular strengthening, and exercises to increase flexibility. Bill often integrates into client’s program elements of body rolling and foot fitness. Body rolling and foot fitness are simple and effective self-care techniques. Body rolling uses different size balls and helps keeping the body in alignment. Foot fitness corrects common foot issues and maintains a healthy foot structure, which is essential for proper posture and a balanced body. Foot fitness is especially recommended for people who spend a lot of time ‘using their feet’, including runners and dancers.
