AJ’s BIO.

My passion in life is helping people, which I express through personal training. There’s nothing better than seeing someone achieve their first ever chin up, fit into their old jeans again, or finish a 5k. It’s a journey that I have been personally invested in for 6 years and plan to be for many more. Personal training, for me, is a craft that helps people plan, visualize, and experience their lives better than before. Which is ultimately what hooked me into the profession.

Through teaching myself how to improve my own poor dietary habits, as well as suboptimal workouts and form, I lost 75lbs, and found my interest for personal training. From there I have worked at world renowned gyms, taught athletic courses abroad in Germany at Braunschweig University, moved to California to train at Google, and graduated in Dec. 2022 with a Master’s in Kinesiology from SFSU. I plan to continue my studies thereafter by pursuing a PHD in physical therapy, as well as continue to earn certifications and specializations. 

Throughout my personal training career, I've had many clients come to me with shoulder pain, knee pain, lower back pain...etc. We either got rid of the pain or learned the correct ways to train around it to achieve their goals. Most people only focus on muscles they see in the mirror, and often neglect the ones they don't. With these muscular imbalances, most can experience injuries, but with proper training and programming they can correct the imbalances while still strengthening and growing the muscles that are of most importance to them. 

My training approach is simple, flexible, and scientifically based. Programs will be customized for you and you, only. Everyone is different with unique goals and needs. I strive not only to be a coach, but also a teacher. That way you know exactly what to do, and how to do it even outside our training sessions. Together we will work on making a program that is geared toward your unique goals, schedule, experience, and injury history if necessary.
